How it started: Natalia Meredith and her mother, Deedee Lucido, frequented Monkee’s in North Carolina for about 15 years before signing on to open a franchise location in Stuart. “I fell in love with the store and always said how I wished we had a Monkee’s in Stuart,” Meredith says. “It has always been a dream of mine to own my own boutique.”
What sets it apart: As co-owners, Meredith and Lucido work to create a personable atmosphere with helpful, friendly staff. The store’s clothing selection is eclectic and not confined to a particular taste. “My mother and I do the buying so we have items that appeal to a very wide range of customers,” Meredith says. “We want our customers to feel like they’re shopping with friends and leave the store feeling great about themselves.”
Monkee’s in a few words: “Fun, fashionable, friendly,” Meredith says.
Owners’ favorite products: Meredith favors dresses by Tori Richard, while her mother prefers all pieces from designer tyler böe. Monkee’s of Stuart, 9 SE Osceola St., Stuart / 772.266.9879 / monkeesofstuart.com
